Build Project Manager

On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is currently seeking a Build Project Manager, who will join the project escalation management team. The main responsibility for this person will be to respond to customer escalations, engage the right project stakeholders, collect and communicate updates to the escalation originators. this person will apply both strong communication and analytical skills to compile and analyze data enabling a quick turnaround on escalations. This person can be located either in BC (Lower Mainland) or in AB (Calgary)

Build Project Manager Job Details

- Respond to customer escalations and collect/research necessary information to provide resolution
- Willing to jump into critical customer situations with little notice, understand technical issues, and quickly bring cross-functional team members together to develop and deliver on action plans
- Utilize defined criteria and guidelines to reach the appropriate resolution for the customer
- Work with Escalation Prime and Project Managers to resolve issues and remove roadblocks
- Follow up to assure resolution of issues and achieve closure
- Support Escalation Prime for metrics consolidation and reporting, action taken and follow up to ensure delivery excellence in the PMO
- Maintain effective and frequent communication of status with escalation originator, Escalation prime and project team
- Be responsive to customer needs which may sometimes require outside of normal business hours

Build Project Manager Mandatory Skills

- Highly organized, ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively to resolve problems and enable decisions
-  Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including capabilities to produce presentations, charts, graphs, pivot tables and data models including analytical tools (formulas, VLookUp)
- Knowledge and experience with database development (e.g. MS Access)
- Experience in customer facing role either remote or face to face
- Ability to drive issues from escalation to resolution with a high sense of urgency and understanding and balancing importance
-  Ability or experience working effectively in a busy environment
- Experience in a phone and computer based remote role
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
- Knowledge of wireline telecom infrastructure and field installations would be an asset
- University degree
- Associate PM designation, enrolment in PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma certification desirable
- 1-3+ years as a Project Manager (or related position)
