Senior Business Analyst (Charles River)

On behalf of our banking-sector client, Procom is looking for Senior Business Analyst (Charles River) on a contract role in Downtown, Toronto
 

 Senior Business Analyst (Charles River) Responsibilities:

- These BAs are to provide daily support to investment management systems to buy-side LOBs: One position is to support front-end users and interfaces; the other is to support back-end processing.

- Support front-end users with Charles River IMS: trouble-shooting trading system issues, building blotters, workflows, workbench profiles, training new users, etc.

- Support daily investment system processes and interfaces between investment systems used by 1832 Asset Management L.P. and affiliate businesses such as Charles River, Mpower, SimCorp Dimension, Eagle, Markit EDM, PTA, iFast, FIX, etc.

- Support daily batch jobs and enhancements (trade imports/exports, scheduled data extractions to feed downstream systems, etc.)

- Perform data extraction ad hoc requests from business users

- Perform maintenance of application systems

- Automation of new data loading process

- Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies

- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities

- Supports one or more highly complex business processes -Works on multiple projects as a project team member -Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

 

Senior Business Analyst (Charles River) Must Have Skills:

1. Charles River IMS (5 years - used in buy-side business environment, user interfaces/configuration, batch processes, downstream system interfaces with portfolio & fund accounting, performance analytics)

2. Financial instruments (5 years - end-to-end workflows amount Front, Middle, Back Offices within at least one: equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives)

3. Relational database management systems (5 years - SQL, Oracle)

 

Senior Business Analyst (Charles River) Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Tidal Scheduler
  • Unix Scripting
  • Degrees or certifications: Bachelor degree in technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related)
  • 5+ years of overall working experience as a BA within Wealth Management and on the IT-side
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
